I’m ready for the Half (at least I’m pretty sure I’m ready). It’s been a year of running and conditioning and I feel really positive about the whole thing! I don’t really have much to post. Just felt like I wanted to say that out loud (or at least out loud in type).
I have 11 miles scheduled for tomorrow. I had looked at the schedule wrong, and when I’m in Waco I only have a four mile run to do. I will probably start at the beginning of the course, as I’ve kinda run some of the end portion with Beth already. I’m hoping for some nice weather (and Beth, since it’s a short run, are you in??) (nothing like pressure, right?).
I’m excited. I’m ready to go. I just hope my body gets the memo my brain is sending out! I’m trying to figure out if I need a fuel belt of some kind. I want to carry some GU’s with me, and I can’t decide the best way to do that. Anyone out there have any recommendations? I know that some races have gels available, but I don’t like the idea of not having what I’m used to during the Half. I figure if I’m going to get one, I need to do it soon so I can get used to it. Ah… decisions, decisions!
